A huge park with a free for all atmosphere. There are rules, but they're not enforced. Dogs are supposed to be leashed but they weren't always and it wasn't a big deal. If you come with a group, you can circle your rigs and have a somewhat private area. You can't beat the proximity to the beach - the campground is just over some dunes (which block the wind!). Bathrooms were not very clean, but if you're in an RV, it's not a problem. There was quite a bit of manure (bring a pooper scooper) from the grazing cows (and dogs?). I'd go back.
We found the staff to be very pleasant. The facilities were well kept. The full hookup sites were a little cramped, but the river front sites were better (partial hookups). The river is the main attraction, with tubing and whitewater rafting available. We'll be back.
Great golf course for reasonable fees. The park is well kept with a nice pool and various rec rooms. Spots are a little close, but I've seen worse. The surrounding area has a lot to see and do.
Great location, beautiful scenery. Lots to do at the campground, renting boats, kayaks, fishing, swimming. Some sites are a little small, others are great. Only downside is customer service - it's terrible. It's very hard to book a site, let alone a group of sites. They should put site availability online (as should any other campground). The people working the phones are not pleasant to deal with.
Very nice campground. Facilities are superb with a great swimming pool. Nice park for the kids. Good size sites. Great base camp for touring Sonoma, Napa and San Francisco.
Well maintained facilities. Sites a little close, but there are so many so it's only a problem if the park is full. Friendly staff. Nice area to visit, check out the gold mine tour at Sutter's Creek.
